New date announced for Style in the City

September 24, 2009 to September 26, 2009

Organisers of this year’s Style in the City have announced that the three day fashion extravaganza – originally scheduled for April- will now take place in September.
“In order to give everyone involved greater opportunities to make Style in the City 2009 the resounding success it deserves to be, we unanimously decided to reschedule the event for September 24th – 26th to coincide with the strongest fashion season of the year and follow on from the excitement and buzz generated by London Fashion Week.
We believe this extra breathing space and strategic timing will give us the platform we need to make Style in the City 2009 bigger and better than ever.” Hannah Oussedik, Brand Events (spokesperson for Style in the City)

All other elements of the event will continue as planned, including the recently launched search for the ‘Midlands Designer of the Future’, the winner of which will see their  own  original design emblazoned across the 2009 event shopping bags.  The deadline for the competition has been extended to the July 1st, giving budding Stella McCartneys and Christopher Kanes even more time to hone and submit their designs.  Entry forms and more details are available at www.styleinthecityevent.co.uk.
