Royal opening for the Town Hall

St George’s flags and bunting will be flying high in the city this month when The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall come to Birmingham to officially re-open the Town Hall.

Their Royal Highnesses will be visiting Birmingham on Tuesday, 22nd April when they will re-open one of the city’s most impressive landmarks, following the completion of its £35m renovation last year.

Hundreds of school children, visitors and dignitaries are expected to gather in Victoria Square to welcome the couple when they arrive. They will then see the splendour of Town Hall for themselves as they, and a selected audience, are entertained by a range of city-based arts organisations.
