What is the Street Warden Scheme?
The Birmingham Street Warden Scheme puts a friendly, helpful face on the streets of Birmingham. Our team of Street Wardens can be seen around Birmingham on a daily basis, helping to make your streets and public spaces cleaner and safer. Our presence on the streets will not only provide a visible crime deterrent, but also provide you with a reassuring point of contact and source of help.
What do we do?
We make contact with the public, the business community, visitors, youngsters, schools, neighbourhood and residents’groups so that we can work closely with everyone in the community. Our aim is to ensure that the streets of Birmingham are clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. As well as working within the community to deliver and support local initiatives, we also organise sponsored events such as vehicle crime advice days.
Who do we work with?
We work in close partnership with Birmingham City Council, the police and other agencies to provide practical help and support where it is needed. An important part of our job is to work and be involved with retailers and the local community. Our work involves building strong links with the business community as well as new and existing residents groups. Together we can all create a safe and friendly environment for Birmingham. Through this approach we will have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of what is happening on your streets, and provide solutions where possible to deal with any problems.
How you can contact us
